ASHM has an active program of policy development. ASHM aims to develop and share STI policies and guidelines of relevance to clinicians and other health professionals. We also have a range of policies related to HIV, hepatitis B and hepatitis C.
We provide feedback and contribute to policy reviews in the sector and also develop position statements, which reflect our policy opinion on a number of clinical and non-clinical issues.
The Position Statements page lists current position statements, work in progress and policy contributions ASHM has made. If you identify any gaps in STI policy or guidelines, please contact ASHM@ashm.org.au
ASHA, a committee of ASHM, works to improve national and local responses to sexual health issues via a multidisciplinary support network.
